You just had to be there

Yesterday, our Pastor preached a message entitled “The Harvest is Great, But The Laborer’s Are Few”. In his message, he pointed out how that we need to look upon others as Jesus does. In other words, instead of their lack, their dirty clothes, or their sin, what we should see in them is someone in need of a Savior.

Pastor spoke of how many opportunities we miss to be the hands and feet of Jesus if all we see is what’s on the outside. This was a powerful message for such a time as this, and I was deeply moved by his words.

At the end of the service, as is our custom, my wife went to the piano to play a song that Pastor had requested. This song was one that she did not know, so several times during the week I would hear her practicing it at the piano. To say I was humbled by the message in this particular song would be a colossal understatement.

The song is called My House is Full (But My Field is Empty). Here is the Lynda Randle version on YouTube: Lynda Randle – My House Is Full (But My Field Is Empty) (Live) – YouTube

Here is the link to the sermon our Pastor preached. My wife sings the song near the end of the video.

As I said, you just had to be there.

Blessings to all,
